Most beginners are stuck at the problem of getting sounds from their Cakewalk Sonar software, whether it is audio or midi. We’ve received emails and comments about troubleshooting this problem.

I think that’s why Cakewalk themselves created a video tutorial specifically to tackle this trouble faced by mostly beginners, or new Sonar users.

In this video, you will find out how to:

The Fantom VS Synthesizer was designed by Roland and is built into the SONAR V-Studio 700R interface.

The synthesizer was built-in into the SONAR V-Studio 700R hardware. So there is no need to have another hardware synthesizer on your rack.

The sounds are identical with Fantom G8 keyboard synthesizer. Similarly, Fantom VS can be upgraded with the Roland ARX expansions series.

Having the Fantom VS is like having a great-sounding hardware sound module, but without having to connect it with MIDI, Audio and power cables. Since it is not a software synth, it doesn’t use up your CPU power and thus no latency!

Since it comes with all the software control interface, and easy integration with Sonar sequencer software, you can start making music right after you open the bundled template project files.

What I can say is that Cakewalk makes a musician’s life easier than ever.

Watch the video below for more details.
